SHORTCUT VIRUS :: ISSUE SOLVED 100% WORKING

Have you ever encountered "Shortcut viruses" on your flash drive/External Hard disk before?
If yes, then you should know how frustrating they can be.
Well, as it is, just having an Anti-virus on a Computer system isn't protective enough, but occasionally updating it as new viruses are being made and spread each day.
Amongst these numerous viruses, this virus is capable of changing/turning folders of extremely large MBs/GBs into small KBs and its often named “file.vbs”.
Like I mentioned above, when this virus strikes your Computer/flash drive, it automatically changes folders & sometimes files into a shortcut and hides original files and folders.
So,in this tutorial, I'll be giving some tips on 'how to get rid of this virus on a system and retrieve your files back.
How to Remove Shortcut Virus on a Computer and Flash Drives::
· Step 1 : As this virus is of ".vbs" type , we have to disable its further action by closing "wscript.exe" process. So, open task manager and go to processes tab. There will be a process running named "wscript.exe". select the process and click on "End Process" button.

· Step 2 : open My computer and in the search box, search for "file.vbs". Wait till the searching completes. Now, select all files named "file.vbs" and delete them. Finally your computer is free from this virus. (NOTE : If the virus is differently named search that virus and delete all of them from your computer.)

· Step 3 : Now the turn is to recover hidden files in your computer/flash drives. So, in my computer, goto Organize and then folder and search option. click in view tab. Now check "show hidden files" and uncheck "Hide Protected operating system files". Finally click on ok button.

This time you can see both shortcut and original files. Delete all shortcut files and unhide all original files using command prompt. For this open command prompt and set it's directory to which hidden file is present. Now Copy paste the code below into the command prompt and hit 'Enter'.
attrib -h -i -s abc.png
(Change abc.png as per your individual file names) This code will unhide your each file.
Now, finally I hope with this manual fixes, the problem will get solved................
